Sensory Play Palace are proud to be stockists of the Calmii Tactile Sensory Bar. A tactile sensory communication resource we have personally used and found to be highly effective. It is a staple in our Grab and Go Sensory Bag so made perfect sense to work with our friend Rose at Calmii Connect Tiles. 

The Calmii®️Bar is a handheld tactile communication and sensory support tool designed to support communication through tactile and visual interaction. For use at home, school and out and about. 

Ideal for overwhelming situations and environments, transitions, sensory breaks and communication. 

Intended as a parent-led tactile communication and sensory support tool designed to hold interchangeable tactile communication tiles. 

Its intended purpose is to support communication, emotional expression, choice-making and routine through tactile and visual interaction.

Emotion tiles have been designed around sensory states and regulation. Children can communicate without words how they feel. The tactile feel helps support sensory regulation as children progress through the tiles. 

• Heart Beat (up and down zig zags): Overwhelmed, distress, Noisy environment
• Swirl: Calm/ok
• Wave: Busy/Flustered, unsure
• Pebble: Unregulated.

We have been using our Calmii Bar at SPP HQ and out and about for months. As well as being a calming tactile resource for Alice, with my lead, she can also use the tiles to communicate the sensory stimulus she needs.
