Alice and I are off to Butlins with Nanny at the end of the month. During this time the website will be closed.

Tuesday 2nd April is Autism Awareness Day and April is Autism Acceptance Month. April is a special month for us, as well as being Autism Acceptance Month its Alice birthday month and the month she received her diagnosis.

Now I totally understand why we have dedicated days, weeks, months. There are also many other awareness days that need fair representation too. It is a great opportunity for schools, companies and communities to educate and encourage others to be accepting BUT it shouldnt stop when the month is over.

Alice will still be autistic when April is over. She will still be the amazing little girl that tries so hard every day to be part of a world that isnt accepting for who she is.
I will always advocate for her. 24/7. Until she has her own voice and is able to advocate for herself, I will be there to support her and ensure she can access everything she wants to that others take for granted.

Autism doesnt go away. It is not something to be fixed. Our children are amazing just the way they are. What would help is a more accessible and kinder world ❤️
